Vishnu Prasad Writer / Director / Producer

exploring the human condition

Vishnu is a San Francisco-based Indian writer and filmmaker. A lifelong student of cinema and literature, his artistic practice explores relationships, love and the many facets of the human condition. Vishnu's first project with Liberty Lane, Finding People, is a delicate, Eric Rohmer-esque springtime drama that explores the ephemeral beauty of first connections, produced by J.

Since that pivotal first project, it was the beginning of a magical creative relationship. Vishnu and J have collaborated on a number of projects together, including Meet Me at the Club: The Castro Country Club Story, a feature-length documentary currently in post-production; the multiple-award-winning short film, Here For Now; and music videos for singer-songwriter Forrest Hill's "Crack in the Land of the Free" and "Barrier to Love."

Vishnu received a Bachelor of Design in Cinematography and Film Production from India's Symbiosis Institute of Design, and a Master of Fine Arts from San Francisco State University's School of Cinema where he received the Graduate Student Award for Distinguished Achievement for outstanding scholarship and creative work.
